RO INFORMS ON PROHIBITION OF CAMPAIGN

 

            Commissioner & Returning Officer, M. Patton and ADC (Hq) & ARO, Limanenla in pursuance of the section 126 of the Representation of the People’s Act 1951 and Precertification of Political Advertisements informed all the political parties, candidates, their leaders and campaigners to stop campaigning during the last 48 hours.

            Therefore, all the political parties have been directed to ensure that they observe the silence period on the last 48 hours. Also, no political party or candidate or any other organisation or person shall publish any advertisement(s) in the press media on the poll day and one day prior to the poll day unless the contents have been pre-certified by the MCMC committee in the state/district level as the case may be.

DC AND DEO TUENSANG NOTIFIES

 

            Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Returning Officer Tuensang Mohammed Ali Shihab notified to all the concerned that, as per the directives of the Election Commission of India under section 135 C of the representation of the Peoples Act 1951, and for the smooth and peaceful conduct of free and fair poll of the ensuring Parliamentary Election 2019, the day of Poll and the day of counting is hereby declared as “Dry Day” for the entire district, ie, 11th April 2019 and 23rd May 2019.

DC DIMAPUR INFORMS POLLING PERSONNEL

 

            DC &DEO Dimapur Kevekha Kevin Zehol has informed all Polling Parties of Dimapur district that the dispatch of polling parties will be as scheduled below

  1. 5-Ghaspani-II – 8:00am
  2. 4-Ghaspani-I – 9:00am
  3. 3-Dimapur -III – 11:00am
  4. 2-Dimapur -II – 12:00 noon
  5. 1-Dimapur -I – 1:00pm

            Therefore, all Polling Parties have been informed to report at the specific time on 10 April 2019 to State Stadium, Oriental Colony, Dimapur positively.

FINAL ROUND OF POLL TRAINING AT MON

            The third and final round of 2nd Polling Officers and 3rd Polling Officers training for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections was held on 8th April 2019 at council hall Mon.

            Nodal Officer for Training, Alongse Sangtam and others imparted training on the use of EVM, VVPAT etc. Hands on training of EVM and VVPAT was also held at DRDA Conference Hall, Mon.

79 POLLING PARTIES DISPATCHED TODAY AT WOKHA

            Altogether Three hundred ninety five (395) polling officials moved out today the 9th April 2019 from district headquarter Wokha.  The polling parties moving out today comes under P-2 polling stations category, seventy seven (77) polling station under 40 Bhandari Assembly Constituency and Two (2) polling stations under 39 Sanis  Assembly Constituency.

            A total of 130 vehicles both light and medium vehicles will be carrying the polling parties at different polling stations under Wokha district. A total of 100, 567 voters will be exercising their franchise from 208 polling stations across Wokha district. Remaining 129 polling stations comprising of 645 polling officials will be moving out tomorrow the 10th April 2019.

22 POLLING PARTY DISPATCHED AT PEREN

            22 Polling Parties departed on 9th April to their respective polling stations at under Peren district.

            The presiding and polling officials including security personnel and vehicles are ready for the final departure on 10th April.

17th LOK SABHA ELECTION CAMPAIGN CONCLUDES IN PEREN

 

            Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer and Assistant Returning Officer, Peren, Sarita Yadav, IAS has officially prohibited campaign and public meetings during the period of forty eight hours which ended on 9th April at 16:00 hours for the general election to the 17th Lok Sabha 2019.

FINAL ROUND OF RANDOMIZATION AT PUGHOBOTO

 

            Final round randomisation of polling personnel to the 17th Lok sabha General election under 13 A/C Pughoboto Assembly segment was held on 9th April 2019 at GHS Pughoboto and DB Court, ADC Office respectively.

            ADC and DEO K.Mhathung Tsanglao emphasised on the importance of the EPIC and other 11 documents and said voters will be allowed those who will be producing one of those documents as per the ECI guidelines. He reminded the Presiding officers and the polling personnel to keep in their mind that No Voters should be shown as having voted on the production of photo voters slip. He said, the ECI is giving much importance for the welfare of PWDs and in Pughoboto 22 polling stations have been provided with such facilities and therefore he urged the presiding officers to take necessary stock of the same. EVMs and VVPATs was demonstrated during the last round training.

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER, PEREN NOTIFIES

 

            Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Denis Hangsing has informed all the Departments in Peren District for the District Medical Board scheduled on 23rd April, 2019 at 10:00 hours in the office chamber of the Chief Medical Officer, Peren. The CMO has directed the Grd- III and Grd- IV employees to submit the intending candidates list by 20th April, 2019.

DC & DEO PEREN BANS UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLIES

 

            Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate Peren, Sarita Yadav, IAS has issued an order that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the dates of General Election to the Lok Sabha 2019 on 10th March 2019 and in compliance with ECI guidelines to ensure conduct of peaceful, free and fair poll, in exercise of power conferred under section 144 of criminal procedures code 1973 (CrPC) unlawful assemblies of more than 5 (five)  persons have been banned and holding of public meetings within Peren District have been prohibited with effect from 9th April 2019 04:00 PM till 12th April 2019 11:59 PM.

            However, this ban does not restrict house to house visits in connection with door to door campaigning as prescribed in model code of conduct.

FIRE AWARENESS TRAINING TO BE CONDUCTED AT KOHIMA

            Deputy Commissioner Kohima Anoop Khinchi, IAS has informed that in observing the “National Fire Service Week” a fire awareness training will be conducted to highlight fire prevention, protection and mitigation on 18th April 2019 at Local Ground Kohima. He has requested all concerned Departments to detail a minimum two (2) staff to attend the training. Further confirmation of participants may be communicate to the Deputy Commissioner Office by 16th April 2019
