BLOCK LEVEL POSHAN RALLY CONDUCTED AT JALUKIE TOWN
A Block Level Poshan Rally was conducted at Jalukie Town on 3rd September 2019 from Jalukie Town Women Welfare Organization Office and marched through the town of Jalukie and culminated at District Social Welfare Office, Jalukie town. The rally was flagged off by the Zeme Council President Dr. Tumda.
The Block Level Poshan Rally was organised under the aegis of the Department of Social Welfare Peren, in which approximately 130 women folks comprising of both workers and helpers took part in the rally.

AMONGMONG FESTIVAL OF SANGTAMS CELEBRATED UNDER KIPHIRE DISTRICT
The most important and popular festival of Sangtam people, the festival of food production ,blessing and prosperity AMONGMONG festival was celebrated at Kiphire district on 3rd September 2019.
Usually this festival is observed in the first week of September every year. The genesis of the festival is that, it is celebrated after toiling for several months during the year and when the crops are ripe for harvest the green signal to start the celebration of Amongmong is given by the village priest called BERURU with due prayers and rites. And they pray in the festival called AKATSINGKITHSA which means from this day of festival the harvesting starts, the Sangtam tribe believe that Successful celebration of Amongmong festival will please God and hope for blessings from God to have a rich harvest and good health in the family.
43RD NAGALAND INTER DISTRICT AND STATE OPEN BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP
The 43rd Nagaland Inter District and State Open Badminton Championship 2019 under the aegis of Nagaland Badminton Association started on 3rd September 2019 at DSCZ Stadium Zunheboto. The championship is being hosted by Zunheboto District Badminton Association with Advisor, Food and Civil Supplies, Legal Meteorology and consumer protection and Justice and Law, Pukhayi and Advisor School Education K T Sukhalu as special guests.
Zunheboto Deputy Commissioner and Convenor of the championship Peter Lichamo delivered the welcome address where he welcomed the Advisor, VIPs, players and delegates and encouraged the players to play with good game spirit.
Vice President, Nagaland Badminton Association, Lemjan Phom thanked the people of Zunheboto for letting them come to the great Sumi land and she explained on how and when Nagaland Badminton Association came into existence.
Special guest Pukhayi in his speech thanked the organisers for organising such a grand event. He added that Badminton is a fine and attractive game and if one value our own health then one should take up playing Badminton. He further exhorted the participants that it is not only about winning but participation that matters the most. He took an example of PV Sindhu, the current Badminton world champion saying that hard work and determination always pays and will always take us to new heights and finally declared the championship open.
The programme was chaired by Kileto I Chishi, Assistant Professor Zunheboto Government College, Dr. Hutton Achumi, Pastor Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto said the invocation prayer and Akavi Yeptho presented a special number.
In the first senior match Zunheboto district defeated Longleng district in straight sets and in second match Peren district defeated Tuensang district also in a straight sets.
AWARENESS PROGRAM ON SOIL MANAGEMENT AND GARDENING SKILL DEVELOPMENT HELD AT PUGHOBOTO
Soil management for training and gardening skill development awareness program, under school adaptation, and initiated by SDPDB Pughoboto was held at GHS Pughoboto on 3rd September 2019.
EAC Pughoboto, Lichu Fithu while delivering a keynote address said that the SDPDP had resolved to have this program in some schools so as to know how different departments have been rendering different activities in their division. Therefore, she asked the students to participate and learn the activities given by the government. SDO Soil & Water Conservation, Rokosetuo explained on soil wealth and demonstrated on vermi-composting. SDAO, Myanthung Patton conducted training cum-demo on winter crops like broccoli, cabbage, onion, coriander, pea etc. During the programme, seeds were distributed by the department.
The program was sponsored by department of Soil &Water conservation, Agriculture and Industries & Commerce.
MEETING WITH VISITING TEAM FROM MINISTRY OF SKILL DEVELOPMENT & ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Senior officers from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship visited ‘Aspirational Kiphire district’ on 2nd September 2019, and held a meeting with the district officers headed by Deputy commissioner, tribal leaders, NGOs ,students and other state level officers at DC conference hall, Kiphire to discuss and address the challenges faced by Kiphire district in implementing skill programme.
Secretary MSDE, Dr. K.P. Krishnan, IAS and his team highlighted the importance of skill development at grassroot level and assured full-fledged support in building a better Kiphire district in general, he also highlighted the upcoming ITI institution at Kiphire which is to be established very soon.
Krishnan urged the people of Kiphire to support the government and work with district administrators in building a better district in various schemes, job mela, additional funding to be sanctioned as per the requirement. The team will have interactions with aspirational volunteers, students, GBs, tribal leaders in imparting training on skill development, ITIs etc.
He handed over the sanctioned order to State Mission Director, Sanjay Kumar. Earlier SDO(C) Kiphire, Nyempo Wallim chaired the meeting and Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, M. Shayung Phom gave the welcome address and vote of thanks. The visiting dignitaries who attended the meeting were;

MOU BETWEEN NAGALAND STATE COOPERATIVE BANK LTD & SAO CHANG COLLEGE
MoU between Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd & Sao Chang College, Tuensang was signed on 2nd September 2019.
The memorandum stated that NSCB shall lend to the employees of SCC for their personal needs
The SCC shall wholly or partially formulate their business transaction with NSCB Ltd.
The Bank was represented by VK Disong, AGM, & Sao Chang College by Dr. A Nshoga, Principal in the presence of College faculties.
The MoU was witnessed by Taliakhum, SFI of the Bank & Longtichang Tzudir, Vice Principal of the College
PEREN DISTRICT LAUNCHES 7th ECONOMIC CENSUS 2019
The launching program of 7th Economic Census of Peren District under the aegis of Ministry of Statistics and in collaboration with CSC e-Governance Service India Ltd. was launched on 2nd September, 2019 at DC’s Conference Hall, District Headquarter Peren by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peren, Sentiwapang Aier.
Aier urged the team, involved in carrying out the census, to work sincerely and coordinate with the town and village authorities. Further, DC also appealed to the concerned district officials to properly monitor and provide full support to the enumerators and supervisors so that accurate information can be ascertained while maintaining the data of 7th Economic Census.
The launching programme was chaired by Peren District Manager CSC, Kanzang C. Hau who also gave an overview of the 7th Economic Census while vote of thanks was delivered by DESO Peren, Vikeyielienuo Chielie.

DC DIMAPUR CONVENES MEETING FOR GBs AND CHAIRMEN
DC Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol has informed that the Deputy Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and other Senior Officers will have a meeting with the Chairmen and GBs of the Wards/Villages of Sadar and neighboring villages on 4th September, 2019 at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner Dimapur at 11am to discuss matter relating to National Register Citizen (NRC) and implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP). Therefore, all concerned have been informed to attend the meeting.
