ADC & ELECTORAL REGISTRATION OFFICER WOKHA INFORMS
ADC & ERO, Wokha K.Mhathung Tsanglao has informed all concerned that as per the schedule provided by the Election Commission of India (ECI), programme for final Publication of Electoral Roll w.r.t. 1.1.2020 as qualifying date will be held on 7th February 2020 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference hall, at 11:00Am.
In this regard all registered Political Parties under Wokha District have been requested to attend the programme and thereafter collect the Electoral roll during the function.
Designated Party Officers have been further reminded to bring their Official Seal along with them. All concerned have been requested to attend the said programme without fail.

NISHTHA TRAINING HELD AT MON
Samagra Shiksha, District Mission Authority, Mon organized a five day First Phase NISHTHA Training (National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement) from 28th January 2020 to 1st February 2020 at GHSS Mon. All together 266 Teachers attended the training with 10 Key Resource Person (KRP) and two State Resource Persons. (SRP).
A valedictory programme was held on 1st February 2020 at GHSS Mon which was chaired by Ngiplem, Project Assistant, Samagra Shiksha. District Education Officer Mon, Appe Lohe in his speech expressed his gratitude to all the Resource Persons, teachers, and the Principal of GHSS Mon and her staffs for their cooperation and assistance towards the successful conduct of the programme. He also encouraged the teachers to sincerely implement the knowledge and experiences gained from the training programme in their respective schools for the benefit of the students.

STATE LEVEL MEGA EXHIBITION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONCLAVE TO BE HELD
State Level Exhibition and Entrepreneurship conclave under the National SC/ST Hub (HSSH) Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India will be held from 5th to 8th February 2020 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.
Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland Lithrongla G.Chishi informed that the conclave is being organised under the aegis of Ministry of MSME, NIDC LTD and department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Nagaland. She also informed that the conclave is aimed towards building up strong entrepreneurial skills/competitiveness, business linkages, hand holding with financial institutes and through technology intervention.
Besides the conclave, there will be exhibition/technology centers with live demonstration and also loan Mela.
SLCC ON 7th ECONOMIC CENSUS ON 4th FEBRUARY
The Chief Secretary and Chairman, State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC) on 7th Economic Census has convened a meeting on 4th February 2020 at 12:00 noon in his conference room, Secretariat, Kohima to discuss matter concerning latest district-wise survey updates, erroneous payment of commission by the CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. into the bank accounts of the Supervisors of the 7th Economic Census and the difficulties being faced by the Deputy Commissioners.
All members of the SLCC are requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting.

HORTICULTURE DEPT TO ORGANISE TRAINING AT KOHIMA
The department of Horticulture will be organizing two day event on ‘Training and Distribution of materials to Beneficiaries under Low Cost preservation Unit MIDH’ and ‘Hortipreneurs Meet on Marketing of Horticulture Produces’ on 4th and 6th at 9:30 AM at the Directorate of Horticulture.
In the inaugural session Director of Horticulture & Mission Director (MIDH), Dr. R. Elithung Lotha will give a short speech while a brief remark will be delivered by Deputy Director Horticulture, Meyasashi.

NBCC 83rd ANNUAL GENERAL COUNCIL HELD AT TENING
The Nagaland Baptist Church Council 83rd Annual General Council under the banner of Stronger together was held from January 30th to 2nd February 2020 hosted by the Liangnai Baptist Association LBA at Liangmai Baptist Association Mission Centre, Tening.
Speakers included Rev. Dr. Hukashe Zhimomi President NBCC; Dr. Niholi H. Shohe, Principal, Into Theological College, Zunheboto; Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary NBCC; Rev. Dr. Elyngkiebe Zeliang HoD, Peace Studies, Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong and the speakers of Focus Groups were, Rev. Maongkaba Lemtur, Mission Mobilizer, Eorld Evangelization for Christ. Zuchonthung Ovung, Associate Pastor, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church. Dr. Hovithal Sothu, Project Director, TaFMA, Government of Nagaland and Rev. Phomlee Van, Pastor, Kohima Phom Baptist Church.
The NBCC also conducted farewell programme to the outgoing State Chaplain Rev. Kuzierang Thou & Finance. Property Secretary, NBCC Rev. T.W. Yamyap will be the incoming state chaplain. NBCC also organised Installation programme of Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, Rev. Noksa Chiu, Secretary, Finance & Property. Visadieu Dilie, Secretary, Women. Rev. Amop Noklang, State Chaplain and Msotemsu Walling Principal, Christian Higher Secondary School Dimapur. The host Association Executive secretary Rev. Kitanwi Chawang expressed his gratitude to the NBCC staff and different Association delegates for attending the programme.
LAKHUTI BAPTIST CHURCH CELEBRATES CENTENNIAL JUBILEE
The centennial jubilee celebration of Lakhuti Baptist Church with the theme “Thus far has the Lord led us”, (1 Samuel 7:12) which started on 31.1.2020, concluded on 2.2.2020.
Advisor horticulture and Border affairs, Mhathung Yanthan in his speech expressed gratitude to the pioneers of the church saying that they deserve the highest appreciation because they accepted christianity despite hardship and sowed the seeds of faith and had laid a strong foundation for the coming generations who are today, living the blessings of their selfless dedication and vision they had one hundred years ago. He also said that Lakhuti Village, like the rest of lotha area, is so much endowed with nature’s resources, so the people should continue to encourage oneself and learn to tap the rich plentiful land for self sufficiency through dignity of hard work instead of depending on the government alone.
- Thomas Lotha, Ex- Minister in his speech said that one hundred years of growth and maturity is a long time in the life of a village with sufficient blessings therefore, Lakhutians should be at the giving end rather than be at the receiving end.
Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger, Executive Secretary, ABAM said that Jubilee is a time to introspect and liberate our mindset from bondage of negativity around us.
Rev. Zanao Mozhui, Pastor, LBC Dimapur, the speaker in his sermon
called on all to reaffirm their faith, be obedient and live by his principle as God’s people. Calling on the believers for peace and love, he stated that it is very uncalling for God’s people to be unforgiving and vengeful of one another because it may prove harmful and keep us away from fulfilling his will through us.
Rev. Prof. Akheto Sema, Gen. Secretary CBCNEI emphasised that Jubilee is a reminder of God’s faithfulness, honour and favour upon his people who should be humble and grateful enough to seek his grace.
Rev. Dr.Ezamo Murry Former Principal, ETC Jorhat spoke on the qualities of a good Christian. Dr. A. Abeni Patton, Asst Professor, BTC, Pfutsero was the speaker of the first day’s programme.
The jubilee memorial monolith was unveiled by Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha, Executive Secretary, Lotha Baptist Churches association and the village map engraved on a rock in a 3D format was dedicated and unveiled by Rev. Ezanbemo Odyuo, Pastor Lakhuti Baptist Church.
KHIAMNIUNGAN MENIU HOIKAM 4TH GENERAL SESSION AT THONOKNYU
Khiamniungan Meniu Hoikam 4th general session will be held from 5th to 6th February 2020 at Thonoknyu Hq, under the theme “Dignity and progress”.
President KMH, Niukai Penglang has informed that the executive meeting will be held on the evening of 5th January 2020 and the registration fee will be Rs 10 each. Transportation is to be arranged by own unit and traditional dresses will be compulsory.

HUGE QUANTITY & BANNED DRUGS & IMFL DESTROYED AT WOKHA
Huge quantity of seized IMFL and banned drugs worth 20 lakh was seized and destroyed today the 2nd February 2020 at Wokha Town council dumping site (SALI AREA) in the presence of JMFC, Wokha, Assistant Public Prosecutor, District Administration, SDPO Wokha, Prosecuting Inspector & staff, Dobashi Department of Information and Public Relations and Lotha Eloe Hoho.
The destroyed illegal consignment included
1) M/C Rum 2952 bottles & 63 Cases Rum
2) Whisky (O/C Blue) 365 bottles.
3) Blenders Pride 81 bottles
4) Vodka 79 bottles
5) Imperial Blue 122 Bottles
6) Beer 1782 canes & 50 cases of beer
7) 172 bottles of Breezer (250 mio).
The seized consignment was confiscated on several occasions by Wokha Police and Assam Rifles. In this connection different cases were registered under relevant Section of Law and the accused were arrested and booked for further inquiry for onward action to be initiated against the defaulters.
As per the application for pre-trial destruction from PI Court, Wokha in connection of GR.NO.72/19,73/19,07/20, 04/20 the destruction was carried our accordingly.

CONDOLENCE MEETING HELD AT NAGALAND CIVIL SECRETARIAT
The officers and staff of Nagaland Civil Secretariat held a condolence meeting on 3rd February 2020 in honour of Late Heluibe Zeliang Joint Secretary, Department of Industries & Commerce who expired on 2nd February 2020 at Bethel Hospital Dimapur.
Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha IAS said that Late Heluibe Zeliang, an NCS officer joined government service in 1986 and was survived by his wife, three daughters and two sons. He conveyed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and assured that the government will help in the process of pension benefits of late officer in all possible ways.
