Office Bearers and Representatives of Kohima Aor Telongjem (KAT) felicitated Temjen Toy, IAS Chief Secretary, Nagaland at his official Residence, Kohima for his appointment as the Chief Secretary of Nagaland. KAT members expressed their happiness and pride for having a member from their Community as the Chief Secretary of the State. They also assured him to extend their full support and cooperation and wished him the best in all his endeavours as the

Chief Secretary of Nagaland. Telongjem also hoped that he will continue to be a beacon of hope for the people of Nagaland.

Temjen Toy, IAS Chief Secretary Nagaland also thanked the KAT for their kind gesture as well as their unending support and said that he would serve the people of Nagaland to the best of his ability.

The Village Adoption Committee (VAC) of 14th Southern Angami under DPDB, Kohima held its culmination programme on 2nd March, 2019 at Mitelephe, adopted under VAC for the year 2018 to 2019.

During the programme, multiple activities were held such as a medical camp, inauguration of installation of solar lights at landmark areas within the village and distribution of blankets to the senior citizens. Awareness programme was also held with inputs from all the VAC members touching upon important issues such as forest and environmental conservation, youth development, sensitization of the village community on sharing of village resources, soil and water management, health and sanitation, community development, school management and strengthening of the local institutions.

During the culmination program, the Convenor Er. Vizotuo EE (R & B) South gave a brief background about the concept of VAC under DPDB Kohima. DFO Kohima Rongsenlemla Imchen highlighted about the various activities implemented by the VAC and its objectives. SDO Jakhama, Alemyapang Longchar spoke about the responsibilities of the village functionaries for proper management of the village.

According to the press release by the VAC, various activities were implemented with the participation of the village community during the last 8 months viz, construction of Water reservoir for proper tapping of potable water for the village community, reinforcement of approach roads within and outside the village jurisdiction for proper transportation, distribution of sports kits, waste bins, computer sets for schools and PA system for Village council. The program was also attended by students under NSS of Model Christian College.

Training on Office procedure and Service Establishment for Officers and Staff of Chief Engineer’s Office, WRD under Capacity Building Programme held on 23rd January 2019:

A one day training was conducted on 23rd January 2019 for Officers and staff of Chief Engineer’s Office, Water Resources Department, wherein Renchamo Lotha Rtd. Addl. Secretary was the Resource Person for the training. Welcome & Keynote address was delivered by Er.Tsuktinungsang, Chief Engineer, WRD. There were 44 (Forty four) nos. of participants for the training.

The training was primarily on the guidelines of Office procedure, Service Establishment and other subject matters.

Training on Driving Skills and Etiquette for Drivers held on 29th & 30th January 2019:

A 1(one) day classroom training on Driving Skills and Etiquette in 2 (two) batches for 2(two) days was conducted on 29th & 30th Jan, 2019 for Drivers in the Conference Hall of Chief Engineer’s Office wherein Shri. Bendang Longchar, Motor Vehicle Officer (MVO) from Transport Dept. was the resource person for the training. Welcome & Keynote address was delivered by Er. Wapangnaro Imchen, Executive Engineer, WRD.

Er. Tsuktinungsang, Chief Engineer, Er. Hotovi Ayemi Addl. Chief Engineer & Er. Razouvolie Kelio, Superintending Engineer (WRD) encouraged the Drivers to work sincerely and perform well in their duties as Government Drivers. In total 53 (Fifty three) Nos. of participants from all Divisions attended the training

Training on Audit and Accounts Matter for Officers & Staff of WRD held on 15th February 2019:

A one day training on Audit and Accounts Matter was conducted on 15th Feb, 2019 for EEs, SDOs & Accountants/Cashiers in the conference Hall of Chief Engineer’s Office, Water Resources Department, wherein, Shankar KR Thakur was the Resource Person for the training, Er. Chubasashi Chang, Superintending Engineer, WRD delivered welcome and keynote address. There were 43 (Forty three) nos. of participants for the training from all Divisions (WRD).

The topics such as Maintenance of Account, Maintenance of Stock Register and Maintenance of Asset & Records for work implementation were covered.

The Programme was wrapped up by Er. Wapangnaro Imchen, Executive Engineer, Water Resources Department.
