CONSULTATIVE MEETING OF JLF PREPONED TO 7th AUGUST

            Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, K. Sekhose has informed that the Speaker, NLA and Convenor, Joint Legislators’ Forum on Naga Political Issue, Vikho-o Yhoshu has preponed the consultative meeting of Joint Legislators’ Forum with all the Members of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly and the Members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to 7th August 2019 at 3.30 P.M in the Conference Hall of Assembly Secretariat. Thereafter, a meeting will be held for formation of the Parliamentarians & Ex- Parliamentarians Association, Nagaland.

            Therefore, all Members of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly and the Members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been kindly requested to attend the meeting positively. The Ex-Parliamentarian Members of the Drafting Committee to represent the Ex-Parliamentarians are also requested to attend the meeting.

PUGHOBOTO SDPDB MEETING ON 13th AUGUST

            ADC & Vice-Chairman SDPDB Pughoboto, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi has informed that the Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board meeting will be held on 13th August 2019 at 11 am in the Office of the ADC Pughoboto.

            MLA & Chairman SDPDB will be present in the meeting. He further asked all the concerned members to be present in the meeting.

AWARENESS ON POSHAN ABHIYAN HELD AT GHSS MON HELD

            Literary Programme of GHSS Mon was held at Council Hall Mon on 3rd August 2019. CDPO Mon, T. Yanlem spoke on the awareness of Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan as a part of Information, Education & Communication (IEC) and Advocacy programme.

            Yanlem said that the target of National Nutrition Mission is to bring down stunting among children in the age group 0-6 years from 38.4 percent to 25 percent by the year 2022.  Nutrition Mission will address malnourishment through convergence and targeted approach for timely service delivery, he added.

            He further mentioned that the targeted beneficiaries are the children in the age group of 0-6 years, pregnant & lactating women and adolescent girls. The National Nutrition Mission is focussing to prevent and reduce under-nutrition and stunting in children and to reduce the prevalence of anaemia among young children, women and adolescent girls.

DWO PEREN INFORMS NSAP BENEFICIARIES

            DWO Peren, in a circular, has informed to all the pensioners under Peren District that the payment for old age, widow, disabled and blind under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) and Department of Social Welfare will be made on the following dates mentioned below:

            August 7th and 8th- Peren, August 9th – Athibung, August 22nd and 23rd – Tening and Nsong and August 27 and 28 -Jalukie. DWO therefore, informed all the beneficiaries to bring Photo Copy of Aadhaar and Bank Pass Book for payment from 9 AM onwards.

TSUNGREMONG FESTIVAL OBSERVED AT TUENSANG TOWN

            Ao Senso Telongjem Tuensang Town (ASTT) observed Tsungremong festival at the Auditorium, GHSS Tuensang on 3rd August 2019.

            The significance of Tsungremong festival was shared by Sakurepba, NST Tuensang. He appraised on how the festival came into existence, and how each of the three days of Tsungremong is spent. Short speech on behalf of host was delivered by Er. Imkongakum. He also said that Tsungremong is a festival of plentiful from Lijaba (God).

            Invocation prayer was said by Pastor TTABA, Moatoshi Lkr. Welcome speech by C. President ASTTT, Lima Jamir.  Cultural song by ASTTT officials. A Jalibang song was presented by Atula and a cultural dance by Season Star Ungma (SSU), and also a Tsungremong song was presented by Watsup Unit, Tuensang Town. Vote of thanks was delivered by the committee members.

PUGHOBOTO MASS SOCIAL WORK ON 9th AUGUST

            ADC Pughoboto, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi in a circular informed that there will be a mass social work at Pughoboto Town on 9th August 2019 from 6:30 am onwards.

            All the residents of Pughoboto Town have been requested to participate in the Social work without fail. GBs are asked to ensure that every household in their respective wards participate in the social work without fail.

            The Sub-Divisional Departments officials have been directed to clean their respective office premises. Youth bodies – PPKK, Pughoboto Town Youth Organisation; Youth of NCRC & Pughoboto Town Baptist Church have been asked to take active participation. Youth bodies have been asked to clean all the thick weeds around the tree plantation in the town area starting from Pughoboto welcome gate. Adhoc-Town Council along with the youth bodies are to ensure the disposal of all the garbage of the social work. All shopkeepers will also clean their respective shop areas. Shops will remain closed till 9:00 am. Soliciting the participation of all concerned for a clean town.
