DUDA CALLS ON DoNER SECRETARY
Minister, Soil & Water Conservation and Geology & Mining, Kashiho Sangtam and Advisor DUDA, Bonkhao Konyak alongwith department officials called on Secretary, DoNER, Dr. Inderjit Singh and Joint Secretary, DoNER, Sourabh Endley on 26th July 2021.
The team briefed them about the proposals for special development programmes in Eastern Nagaland under DUDA. The Secretary assured to forward the proposals to the link ministries for necessary action.
DISTRICT FISHERY OFFICE INAUGURATED AT NOKLAK
Advisor, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Evaluation, Economic & Statistics, L. Khumo Khiamniungan inaugurated the District Fishery Office at Noklak on 27th July 2021.
In his inaugural speech, Khumo Khiamniungan stated that, the State Government is working in all possible ways to reach out to the people. He expressed his gratitude to Director, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Departmental Officials and everyone who took the initiative in establishing the District Fishery Office at Noklak.
Khiamniungan, requested the public to cooperate with the department. He said that for every developmental activity, land is required and for that, he requested the people to give full cooperation to the government for any kind of developmental activity in the district.
While encouraging the farmers, he urged them to get the proper knowledge and learn new techniques and modern ways of fisheries and aquatic farming from the experts of the department.
Speeches were also delivered by Superintendent of Police, Noklak, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, IPS; Khiamniungan Tribal President, M. Thangou and Extra Assistant Commissioner, Noklak P.Pukha Lam.
Keynote address was delivered by Director, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Kevisa Kense, IAS. Dedicatory prayer was delivered by Pastor, Longdon Baptist Church, Noklak, A. Penglang.
The programme was chaired by Additional Director of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Rongsennungba while vote of thanks was delivered by District Fishery Officer, Noklak, Dr. Rongsenkumzuk.

DPDB TUENSANG DISCUSSES ON BIFURCATION OF ICDS PROJECTS
Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting on 27th July, 2021 at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of DC and vice chairman DPDB, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS.
The house discussed on the agenda for the approval of LADP for the current year of 2020 – 2021 under 51A/C Noksen, 52 A/C Longkhim Chare, 53 A/C Tuensang Sadar 1, 54 A/C Tuensang Sadar – 11 and 58 A/C Shamator – Chessore. The Chairman also thanked the elected members for their contribution of Rs. 10 lakh each to COVID Schemes.
The Board also discussed on the bifurcation of ICDS Sangsangnyu into two projects which was table by Nungsang Lemba Chang presented CKS. He stated that Sangsangnyu ICDS was the biggest project, as it covers 92 angangwadi centers covering the villages of three Constituency Assembly of 51, 53 and 54 Assemblies. The House further approved for the induction of permanent member in DPDB Tuensang from confederation of Chang students Union, Tuensang.
The board welcomed new members, BDO Sangsangnyu,Y. Hongtan Chinkhong and DFO Tuensang Samom Khelen Singh (IFS).

BHANDARI CHC HOLDS VACCINATION DRIVE CUM HEALTH CAMP
Community Health Center, Bhandari conducted vaccination drive cum health camp at Akahaiqa village and Sumito village on 24th July 2021 for 18 years and above.
During the event, 76 beneficiaries from Akahaiqa village and 36 beneficiaries from Sumito village were vaccinated. Further, more than 90 patients were treated.
At Ruchan village, 185 beneficiaries were vaccinated and 21 patients were treated on 25th July 2021.
The CHC Bhandari medical team was led by SMO, Dr Caroline, Dr Chundemo Ngullie, Dr Renathung and Dr Lydia.
SENSITIZATION PROGRAMME ON COVID-19 VACCINATION HELD AT MOKOKCHUNG
Mokokchung District Task Force on COVID-19 organized a sensitization programme on COVID-19 vaccination for all unvaccinated Government employees at Mokokchungon27th July 2021 at Town Hall, Mokokchung.
Delivering the keynote address, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Limawapang Jamir said that the objective in organizing the programme was not to forced anybody to get vaccinated but to have interactions so as to sort out and clear the minds of the people had there been any problems or doubts that holds them back to get vaccinated.
Dr. Yanger, who was the resource person, explained on the importance and advantage of getting vaccinated. He said the only solution to combat the incoming third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is to get every eligible individual to get vaccinated. He maintained that vaccines are proving to be efficient against hospitalization and death and disclosed that most COVID-19 deaths in the district were those unvaccinated.
After the programme, 26 people were vaccinated under the supervision of DIO Mokokchung, Dr. AyanglaSaku and Dr. Yanger. The programme was chaired by SDO (C) Mokokchung, Sentilong Ozukum.

TESTING DRIVE TO BE CONDUCTED AT DIMAPUR
In pursuance to letter received from Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Task Force, Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS has informed that there will be a testing drive for all auto drivers in Dimapur at Railway Station Auto Parking at 10:00AM on 28th July, 2021.

With reference to the office letter NO.AC/PC/3/2019-2020 dated Kohima, the 25th June 2021, the Directorate of Art and Culture, Nagaland has informed that the date for submission of Photographs and write-ups have been extended to 3rdAugust 2021.
TRAINING ON PACKAGE OF PRACTICES OF ERI
District Level Training on Package of practices on Eri, organized by ATMA, Kohima district was held at Tseminyu Town Hall on 23rd July, 2021. The resource person, for the technical session was Assistant Sericulture Officer, Kohima, Eyareno Chuse.
The Resource Person highlighted on the importance of rearing of Eri silkworm which can ultimately lead to the economic upliftment of the rural people, especially woman farmers. She gave a detailed presentation on the important growth stages of the worm and explained the life cycle ranging right from the hatching of the eggs to its maturity in detail with the help of a PowerPoint Presentation. Pest, diseases and its management, the economic benefits and potentials of the eri silkworm with the prices it can fetch in the markets were also discussed.
During the interaction and feedback session, Loguseng Tsela, Eri farm school teacher of Tseminyu block shared his experiences and for the enthusiastic new farmers, who wish to venture in the new Eri rearing, raise concerns regarding the problem faced due to lack of host plant, rearing kits and proper housing. They requested the concern department to provide the necessities for setting up of the Eri farm.
Altogether, 26 farmers from Tseminyu and Chunlikha blocks benefitted from the training.

NBSE INFORMS ON NATIONAL INITIATIVE FOR SCHOOL HEADS’ AND TEACHERS’ HOLISTIC ADVANCEMENT
The Ministry of Education, Government of India has launched a Capacity Building Programme for Improving Quality of School Education through National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA). The NISHTHA is a holistic and integrated programme under Samagra Shiksha, a flagship programme of Ministry of Education, Government of India. The modules developed under NISHTHA are centred on learning outcomes and learner–centred pedagogy in line with the recommendations of NEP 2020 and aims at holistic development of teachers and school heads in a time bound manner. In the current year, the programme will cover training of Secondary and Higher Secondary Teachers through online mode and will be coordinated by the Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland.
The Training is for six months, starting from August 2021 to January 2022 in which twelve Generic Courses and one Subject Specific Pedagogy will be covered.
The Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland has directed the Registered Private Schools under NBSE to be part of this training programme. Therefore, to meet the requirement of the Continuous Professional Development, the Nagaland Board of School Education has directed all the Private Schools registered with the NBSE to enroll i.e. the Heads of Institutions and the teachers of Secondary and Higher Secondary for the said training without fail within 31st July, 2021. Further information and guidelines on the courses will be intimated on registration.
The digital clips on the steps for registration online shall be made available in the Board’s Portal nbsenl.edu.in.
TUENSANG ADMINISTRATION AND POLICE DESTROYS SEIZED IMFL
Tuensang District administration and police along with court staff, CTS (Chang Women Organization destroyed) and DB destroyed the sized IMFL at dumping ground in the presence of EAC Tuensang, Ketsintle Tep on 27th of July 2021. The sized items contained 204 bottles of rum and 24 canned beers.
