FARMERS TRAINING AT PUGHOBOTO
Farmers training on organic farming was conducted at Hebolimi village under Pughoboto Sub division on 18th June 2020. SDAO Myanthung Patton encouraged the cluster farmers to rededicate to improve and enhance their organic production for self sufficiency and surplus market oriented. He also mentioned that post pandemic we have face great challenge to progress and therefore he urged the farmers to take it as an opportunity.
The Department also deliberated on PMKISAN on how to utilize the financial assistance to the farmers by the Government of India. The training cum farmers was followed by distribution of tools and implementation to every household.
SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT ISSUES LOCKDOWN MEASURES TO CONDUCT BOARD EXAMINATIONS
In reference to the directive issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literacy video, the following instructions and measures have been issued for grant of exemption from the lockdown measures to conduct Board Examination for class X and XII in the State subject to the following conditions.
- In the containment zone, no examination centre will be permitted.
- Wearing of face masks by teachers, staffs and students will be mandatory.
- There shall be provision of thermal screening and sanitizer at the centres and social distancing in all examination centres.
- In view of examination to be conducted by different Boards, their examination schedules should be staggered.
- Special buses may be arranged for transportation of the students to get examination centres.

HORTICULTURE DEPARTMENT DONATES TO INTERNEES
Fresh and purely organic vegetables cultivated at Melahu village Zunjeboto, was donated to the quarantine centers by District Horticulture Officer, I. Chuba Toshi and staff, which was received by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, at his residence on 19th June 2020.
The deputy commissioner expressed gratitude to the department officials for initiating the donation.

DC DIMAPUR REITERATES ON BAN ON IMPORT OF PIGS
Having noticed pigs still being imported into the district despite the order issued by the Administration, banning import of pigs in Dimapur District from outside the state owing to outbreak of “African Swine Fever” and high mortality rate of pigs in the neighbouring states, DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi in an order reiterated that the ban on import of pigs from neighbouring states still stands. He warned that any person found violating the order will be liable to be punished as per section 188 of IPC.
DC MON PROHIBITS
DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS in pursuance of section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code-1973, whereas, COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in an institutional quarantine centre in Mon Town on 19th June 2020. Therefore to take all required precautionary steps to mitigate the possible spread of COVID-19 for public health, public safety and public order and in the interest of the public health, public safety and public order in Mon District the DC has prohibited movement of public within 100 m radius of the containment Zone i.e. Don Bosco School Campus, Mon Town. This order is passed exparte u/s 144(2) cr.pc. This order will come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force till further orders. Any one violating the foresaid order will be liable for punishment under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.

LAW & ORDER AND FACILITATION SERVICES IN THE STATE AS ON 18TH JUNE 2020
The State Emergency Operation Centre COVID-19 Control room Kohima has issued the report on Law & Order across the state as on 18th June, 2020. Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Hiazu Meru stated in the report that, there were three (3) persons bound down.
The report also stated that, shops for food grains, groceries, medicine and Milk were opened in all the Districts of Nagaland. There was no report of shortage of food grains, groceries, Milk or Medicine in the state. The report stated that, there was no restriction on movement of essential service providers like electricity, telecom facilities, medical facilities etc. and personnel/workers in manufacturing units and commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and e-commerce.
It is also reported that, the state Government have been organised Suitable arrangements for providing food & shelter to migrant workers affected by the COVID-19 restrictions. From the 1 (One) active relief camps and 1(one) active food camps 5 (Five) daily wagers/ needy persons were provided food and dry ration.
