PHEK DPDB FELICITATES TOPPERS

Phek District Planning & Development Board meeting cum felicitation programme for meritorious HLSS /HSSLL toppers was held on 11th October 2021 at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & vice chairman, DPDB Phek, Razouvolie Dozo.

Dozo congratulated the toppers and called upon them to give their best to compete with the rest of the world. The accurate secure marks were secured by Leche-u Kapfo, Akuku Venuh and Tsesheveyi-u Doulo, while subject toppers were awareded to Nusakulu Tetseo, Thujovelu Keyho and Wewu-u Kapfo. They were awarded with citation certificate and cash.

District Education Officer, Phek expressed his gratitude to the DC and members for their co-operation in the venture. On free education for all, he stated that there is a need to inform to all sections of people so that every child gets education.

New members of the Board were introduced and welcomed during the meeting.

NEW INDIA @75 AWARENESS CAMPAIGN WINNERS FELICITATED AT NOKLAK

Felicitation programme of Phase 1 winners of Noklak district under the aegis of New India @75 Awareness Campaign on the theme HIV/AIDS, TB and blood donation was held on 12th October 2021 at DC’s Conference, Hall Noklak.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Hiazu Meru encouraged the students to reach the goal in one’s life. Meru advised the students to learn the importance of one’s health. Being young and vulnerable, he urged them to say no to intoxicants and avoid bad things for the betterment of the future.

            Words of encouragement were given by St. Paul School, Noklak and Government Higher Secondary School, Noklak. During the programme, the winners of the district were felicitated.

Vote of thanks was delivered by EAC Noklak Kathyinla while the programme chaired by Heme Lam.

CHOPHY TAKES OVER CHARGE OF PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTANT GENERAL (AUDIT)

In pursuance to C&AG’s Office Order No. 1574-P-91 /GEI/PF-II dated: 08.10.2021, Sr. Deputy Accountant General (Audit) has informed that A. Pitoho Chophy, IAAS, Principal Accountant General (A&E), Nagaland has taken over additional charge of the Office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Nagaland w.e.f. 11.10.2021 (A/N) and E. Mhonbemo Patton, IAAS, has been relieved from his duties as Principal Accountant General (Audit), Nagaland to enable him to join as Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland on deputation basis.

NBSE TO ORGANIZE ONLINE ORIENTATION PROGRAM

The Nagaland board of School Education has informed all Institutions registered under NBSE that an online orientation program is being organized by the Board on 18th October 2021 at 1:00 PM, to acquaint Institutions on how candidates are to fill up the Online Application Forms for HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2022.

It is mandatory for all Heads of Institutions registered under NBSE (both Govt. and Private) to attend the Orientation Programme.

The Heads of Registered Institutions have also been requested to depute either a teacher or an office assistant, who is familiar with handling the School ID in the NBSE portal for online submission of office related works, to participate in the meeting without fail.

NBSE NOTIFIES HAEDS OF INSTITUTIONS

            The Nagaland Board of School Education has notified for information of all the Heads of institutions registered under NBSE that the individual school shall be Examination Centre for their own students for the ensuing Classes VIII & IX Final Examination 2021 (both Phase I & II). This includes Government and Private Middle Schools.

            The arrangement is being done in view of the pandemic.

CATCH THEM YOUNG TOURNAMENT (U-14) 2021 TO BE HELD

District Sports Officer, Zhopivi Zecho has informed all the interested candidates that the 13th Kohima District Catch Them Young Tournament (U-14) 2021 will be held on 29th & 30th October 2021 at I.G Stadium & T.T Stadium, Kohima.

The disciplines and events are as follows:

UGC EXTENDS PhD AS MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT OF ASST PROFESSORS

University Grants Commission has extended PhD. as mandatory requirement for appointment of Assistant Professors in Departments of Universities to 01.07.2023

The University Grants Commission (UGC) (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and other Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) Regulations, 2018 stipulates that Ph. D degree shall be mandatory qualification for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professors in Universities from 01.07.2021.

The notification issued by Secretary of UGC Prof. Ranjish Jain vide F. No. 9-1/ 2010 (PS/Misc) pt. Vol- II dated 12th October 2021 stated in view of COVID-19 pandemic, the UGC had decided to extend the date of applicability of Ph. D. as mandatory qualification for direct recruitment of Assistant Professors from 01.07.2021 to 01.07.2023.

The Gazette of India extraordinary Part III- Section 4 published by Authority, New Delhi 12th October 2021- 3.10 “The Ph. D. Degree shall be a mandatory qualification for direct recruitment to the post Assistant Professor in Departments of the Universities with effect from 01.07.2023.

ADC KOHIMA INFORMS ON JUNGLE CLEARANCE AND MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME

ADC Kohima, N. Bhavani Sri, IAS has informed all concerned that jungle clearance and maintenance programme of 132kV, 66kV & 33kV lines is scheduled from 1st October 2021 to 14th November 2021 from 8 am to 3 pm in an effort to avoid disruption and facilitate stable power supply.

While the Department of Power shall try to minimize the total shutdown, there will be intermittent disruption of power supply in some pockets during the activity which is unavoidable. Therefore all consumers and public are requested to bear the inconvenience caused.
