CM TO INAUGURATE ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL BLOCK

Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio will inaugurate the Acute Care Hospital Block at Christian Institute of Health Science & Research, Dimapur on 12th November 2021 at 9:00 AM.

The programme will be chaired by Dr. Sedevi Angami while Chief Secretary Nagaland, J Alam, IAS will give the opening remarks. Address will also be made by Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton and Minister H&FW, Pangnyu Phom.

PRESS CONFERENCE ON STATE LEVEL CATAPULT TARGET HITTING COMPETITION ON 11th NOV

            The Directorate of Tribal Affairs will be holding a press conference on 11th November 2021 at 12:00 noon in view of the State Level Catapult Target Hitting Competition.

            The competition will be organized by the Department of Tribal Affairs and will be held on 15th November 2021 at the Heritage Village, Kisama as part of celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

NOKLAK DTF MEETING HELD

District Task Force on COVID-19 meeting was held on 10th November 2021 at DC’s conference hall, Noklak.

Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Hiazu Meru highlighted on the latest Covid-19 vaccination status in the district. He lamented that the district has a loNew post publishedw COVID-19 vaccination percentage, for which he encouraged all eligible persons to take the vaccination. Meru mentioned that, during the festive season, citizens are advised to follow and maintain appropriate COVID-19 behavior. The DC also requested all the task force members to go the extra mile on vaccination.

The house resolved on the door to door campaign for vaccination, towns & villages level officer incharge for awareness campaign and re-activate the sub-divisional and village level task force on Covid-19 amongst others. It also resolved to conduct more vaccination and Covid-19 testing in the district.

MEGA LEGAL CAMP TO BE CONDUCTED AT TSEMINYU ON 13th NOV

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tseminyu, W. Manpai Phom, has informed the public of Tseminyu sub-division that the Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) in collaboration with various state government departments will be organizing a “Mega Legal Camp” on 13th November 2021 at Town hall, Tseminyu.

The camp seeks to sensitise the public, particularly the marginalised section of the society, on the concept of free legal aid and also to acquainted the public with the various welfare programme/schemes of the government.

In this regard, the under mentioned activities will be made available:

  1. Child helpline- Awareness.
  2. Senior citizen helpline- Registration

(For those who want to register under senior citizens Association may kindly bring Rs.300).

  1. KDLSA- Free legal counseling & making of free Affidavits (Income certificate, Name correction, etc.)
  2. Health & family welfare- Free Eye check-up.
  3. Social welfare- Schemes & Benefits.
  4. Horticulture- Free distribution of pamphlets & display if tools.
  5. Animal husbandry & veterinary services- Free distribution of livestock vitamins.
  6. Banks (SBI, NSCB, Bank of Baroda)- Loan schemes, Insurance, etc.
  7. Aadhaar & Requirements- Aadhaar enrollment, correction, Aadhaar card, Birth certificate, passport size photo.

The Mega Camp will be an excellent opportunity for the general public to interact and to get oriented with the aforementioned services. Therefore, the general public have been informed to avail this opportunity and attended the camp positively.

DC NOKLAK INFORMS ON REVISED TAXI FARE

Deputy  Commissioner Noklak, Hiazu Meru has informed that the rate of taxi fare under Noklak district has been revised back to the pre-lockdown  rate or as per the latest rate fixed, on account of 100 percent seating capacity being permitted.

The order shall come into effect from the 1st November 2021.

VACCINATION EXPRESS AMBULANCE LAUNCHED AT TUENSANG

Deputy Commissioner and Chairman DTF Tuensang Ramnikant Kumar, IAS launched  the Vaccination Express ambulance for door to door Covid-19 vaccination campaign on 9th November 2021 to mobilise, track, sensitise and vaccinate those who missed 1st and 2nd dose of Covid vaccine in Tuensang town.

NBSE NOTIFIES ON PAINTING COMPETITION

Nagaland Board of School Education has notified all the registered Heads of Institutions that the Ministry of Power, Government of India with an aim to motivate the children towards energy conservation has been organizing School, State and National Level Painting Competitions every year, since 2005. This activity is being executed by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) on behalf of Ministry of Power with the active support of CPSUs under Ministry and State Education Departments. This painting competition will help in further sensitizing the students, teachers and parents about the concept and importance of energy conservation.

This year, to celebrate the 75th year of Independence with the theme of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav-Energy Efficient India”, all Heads of Institutions under NBSE have been directed to encourage the students to participate in the competition. Students of 5th, 6th and 7th standard under Group ‘A’ and students of 8th, 9th and 10th standard under Group ‘B’ are eligible to participate. Timeline for online registration for the State Level Competition will be from 1st November 2021 to 30th November 2021. The details of the Painting Competition and list of State Nodal Officers are uploaded on www.beeindia.gov.in.

COMMITTEE OF PRIVILEGES MEETING ON NOV 23

Advisor and the Chairman of the Committee of Privileges, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, H. Tovihoto Ayemi has convened a meeting of the Committee on 23rd November (Tuesday), 2021 at 11.00 A.M in the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat.

Members of the Committee have been requested to attend the meeting as scheduled.

CITIZENS GOOD ROAD CAMPAIGN STARTS AT ZUNHEBOTO

Initiated by the Sumi Hoho, the first of its kind, ‘Citizens Good Road Campaign’ was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo on 9th November 2021 at Zungti village junction.

While delivering the keynote address President, Sumi Hoho, Nikheto Jimomi said that, Sumi Hoho wants to set an example to the Sumi community that by contributing little big projects can be achieved. He added that the response was very encouraging and that the project will cover 60 kilometres under and that the other groups led by some of its members have started the work from Kandiniu.

            President, Sumi Kukami Hoho, Kashito Yepthomi during his speech lauded President, Sumi Hoho and his colleagues for taking such a challenging project. He added that the Kandiniu road is not just for the Sumis but for all and he urged every individual to come forward and join hands in the project.

Yepthomi called on the GBs present to convey the message to every village GBs to cooperate in this initiatives by offering eatables also. He lauded Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo for always being supportive and believed that with his support black topping of the road can also be pursued.

Lichamo, while flagging off the event, congratulated and lauded the Sumi Hoho for such a great initiative. He further hoped that not only Sumis but other Naga tribes also emulate the example.

Dr. Vihuto Asumi expressed his gratitude to all contributors . He lauded the church association SBAK Nito Mount and SBAK Aizuto for appealing to all the local churches to join hands in the project.

The program was chaired by General Secretary, Sumi Hoho, Dr Vihuto Asumi.
