BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 10th OF SEPTEMBER 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, HOME

The full text is as follows:

“A total of 261 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 4,636. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 4,636 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 3,781. The active cases are 834 and there have been 8 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 822 active cases are asymptomatic, 9 active cases are mild and 3 active cases are moderate.

Further, out of the 4,636 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 2,109 cases of Armed Forces, 1,332 cases of Returnees, 313 cases of Frontline Workers and 882 cases of Traced Contacts.

A total of 43,380 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 42,547 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 24,750 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 24,680 have been received.

A total of 854 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.”

TUENSANG DPDB MEETING HELD

Tuensang District Planning and Development Board meeting was held at DC conference hall Tuensang on 10th September 2020. The meeting was chaired by Kumar Ramnikant IAS Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Tuensang.

The members reviewed the latest SOP of the government and all agreed to follow and disseminate the same to the public for the health safety concern. Agenda for the creation of new R.D Block office for the Chingmei Range Village was discussed to be forwarded to the government for approval including construction of EAC and its Staffs quarters.

The agenda to transfer of DDOs and Office files of respective departments concerning C/Saddle, New Chingmei, Chingmei, Waoshu, Yimpang and Taknyu were discussed and decided to examine further before forwarding to the government for approval.

ADC Shamator T Lankonsen Tsanglao stated that since the lock down began for COVID-19, many government employees are missing in the sub division for months. Hence, all the absentee employees and officers have been directed to join the station at the earliest.

The house also welcome Rohit Singh IAS SDC(C) HQ as a new member of the forum.

ADC MON INFORMS ON FOLLOWING GUIDELINES

Additional Deputy Commisioner, Mon (Administrator Mon Town Council & in-charge, Aboi) Rahul Mali, IAS has notified that as a precautionary measures to contain spread of COVID-19 all shops owners and business establishment that they have to followed guidelines like wearing mask, maintaining social distance of consumers in front of the shop and keeping hand wash, water & sanitizers in shop and maintained the record book of customers visiting the shop. Non compliance to above order shall be liable to fine like.

  1. Customers/Shopkeepers those who has not wearing mask- Rs.100 1st time offence and Rs.200 2nd time offence onward.
  2. Shop will be shut down for 3 days for 1st offence and for 6 days from 2nd offence onward.
  3. Disobedience to order promulgated by government servant under section 188 of Indian Penal Code Rs.200 for 1st time offence and Rs.1000 from 2nd offence onwards. All the shop keepers has been directed to compliance with the order.

ADC BHANDARI NOTIFIES ON REVISED VEHICLE FARES

Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhandari Tiameren Chang, in an order on August 8, 2020 has stated that as per the revision exercised by the rate fixation committee, the vehicle fares from Bhandari to Dimapur and Bhandari to Wokha has been revised as per the latest Standard operating procedure issued by the state government vide No-CSO/GAB-1/COM/GEM-1/2020 dated Kohima 31st August.

  1. Bhandari to Wokha Tata sumo : Rs 500/per passenger
  2. Bhandari to Dimapur Wingers: Rs 500/
  3. Bhandari to Dimapur Bus : Rs 500/

In an order stated that in wingers there should not be more than two persons sitting on the middle, rear row seats and in the front seat including the driver two persons.

In buses the passengers should not sit on alternate seats and there should always be vacant seats two adjacent passenger sitting, only 50/- of the passengers is allowed and no standing passengers will be allowed.

It is also stated that all the passengers, both drivers and attended should mandatorily to wear masks and to used hand sanitizer. Passengers with masks only will be allowed to travel/board. The passengers should mandatorily cleaned and disinfected before the journey. Defaulters will be penalized as per provisions laid by the state government with immediate effect.

DC MON NOTIFIES

Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified the restriction on Inter-district and Intra-district for private/commercial passengers vehicles has been lifted on 1st September 2020 subject to strict compliance of the “Consolidated Guidelines” with immediate effect. All the guidelines for safety practices in high risk setting to prevent transmission of COVID-19 for commercial passengers vehicles/taxi as specified in annexure-1(B) shall be strictly adhere to all concerned.

All trucks/Goods transport vehicles drivers/attendants shall be observed and crew members shall be screened for fever by thermal scanners at the points of entry. No passengers shall be allowed to travel in any of the goods trucks. All crew members shall mandatorily wear mask and wash hand frequently with soap & water and hand sanitizers. All crew members shall remain inside the vehicles and shall not mingle with anyone during loading/unloading of consignment after the completion of the loading/unloading of the consignment, the truck shall be required to proceed towards its designation immediately. Local transports required to stay back must remain in home isolation and observed safety measures. District task force will be facilitated availability of adequate hand washing facilities at all check points.

All commercial passengers vehicles should mandatorily maintain daily log book of the travelers with details and limitation on the number of passengers will be as per the existing of state guidelines for lockdown measures. Any person/group acting in violation of the order shall be deemed as offence punishable under section 188 of the IPC in addition to section 51to 60 of disaster management act 2005 and other applicable legal provisions.

Khel Kohima Village, Lower Nagabazaar Colony, Officer’s Hill Colony and Jail Colony Kohima, the area defined below is demarcated as “SEALED AREA” in order to contain the spread of the disease/infection and for necessary contact tracing.
