BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 2nd AUGUST 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, HOME
The full text is as follows:
“The total number of positive cases in the State as on today stands at 1,935. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
Out of the 1,935 positive cases, the total active cases are 1,279 and there are 4 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,277 active cases are asymptomatic, 1 active case is mild and 1 active case is with oxygen.
Till date, a total of 25,335 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 22,815 samples have been received. Out of the 16,679 samples received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), a total of 15,515 samples have been tested and 1,364 samples have tested positive. In addition, a total of 16,727 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and 503 samples have tested positive which have been sent for confirmation by RT-PCR.
A total of 2,352 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.”
DTF ZUNHEBOTO ISSUES REVISED GUIDELINES
The District Task Force Zunheboto and ZCMC held a meeting on 1st August 2020, and resolved to enforce the revised guidelines to be enforced with effect from 3rd August 2020 till further order.
DTF Zunheboto decided that inter district travellers coming into Zunheboto should compulsorily produce Medical Fitness Certificate with movement permit from the authorities of the concerned districts, those travelling without proper documents shall not be allowed to enter the district.
Further in an order the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman District Task Force Peter Lichamo notifies that those coming in from other districts to Zunheboto district shall remain under home quarantine isolation for a period of 7 days. He also notified that total lockdown in district shall be imposed on every Wednesday and Friday, shop timings in other days will be from 7 Am to 4 PM. proper wearing of face masks and maintenance of social distancing shall continue, defaulters shall be penalized as per the standing order.
DC MON NOTIFIES ON TOTAL LOCKDOWN
Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified that the total lockdown which was imposed in Mon town and Tizit sub-division on 26th August 2020 was extended for another 7 (seven) days i.e 3rd to 9th August 2020 with the following conditions. Movement of public shall remain strictly prohibited except on medical emergencies.
All business/commercial establishments, shops shall remain closed. Movement of private vehicles except those permitted is banned. All social/cultural/religious/academic gathering shall be banned. Not more than 20 persons will be permitted in case of funerals. A register containing the names and contact details of all those who attend must be mandatorily maintained and submitted to the concerned subdivision officers. No movement will be permitted in or out of Mon Sadar&Tizit sub division. Any persons found violating this order will be penalised under relevant provisions of the law.
In another notification the Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan notified that the total lockdown in Phonching sub-division was extended for another 7 (seven) days i.e 3 to 9th August 2020 with the following conditions. HOME DELIVERY OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES AT MON
Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, informed that in view of the Total Lockdown has being in force in Mon Town, a special arrangement has been made for Home Delivery of essential commodities. Therefore all those householders wanting to get essential commodities can contact the numbers mentioned below.
- Minimum order – Rs.100.
- Delivery charge – Rs. per delivery.
- Duration of delivery – Monday to Saturday.
